Darton W. Case
President
Darton W. Case is the founder and president of DartAppraisal.com, Inc. He is a state licensed appraiser for the state of Michigan, and founded DartAppraisal.com in 1993 after graduating with a bachelor's degree from Colorado State University.
Mr. Case believes in leadership, high quality and hard work. He also recognizes the importance of communication and technology in the residential real estate valuation market. His vision for DartAppraisal.com is to execute a reliable and consistent experience for his clients, appraisers and employees. Mr. Case's passion and drive to succeed with DartAppraisal.com resonates throughout the company's environment, while his ability to attract great employees through perseverance has allowed his firm to adapt and lead in a rapidly changing marketplace.
Darton belongs to the National Association of Real Estate Appraisers, Mortgage Banker Association, National Association of Mortgage Brokers, Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association, Michigan Mortgage Brokers Association - Past Board of Director, and Entrepreneur's Organization - Past Global Chairman.
Marko Berishaj, CMB, AMP
Vice President
Mr. Berishaj joined DartAppraisal.com as vice president on May 2007. He began his career in mortgage lending after graduating with a degree in finance from Wayne State University. Mr. Berishaj was with a multi-state mortgage banker for more than nine years, serving as executive vice president for three years. His responsibilities included the expansion and development of a branch network in 12 states.
Mr. Berishaj completed the School of Mortgage Banking in August 2005 and received the Accredited Mortgage Banker designation. The education he received included real estate finance, managing profitability and risk, and strategic planning for mortgage bankers. Mr. Berishaj became a certified mortgage banker in October of 2008.
Nancy Mahoney
Finance Manager
Ms. Mahoney joined DartAppraisal.com in March 2004 as the finance manager. She graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor's degree in business administration. One her first initiatives was to streamline and update the accounting process and procedures. She has been instrumental in helping to navigate the company through the financial challenges of the mortgage industry.
Ms. Mahoney started her career in the real estate relocation industry. She worked her way up from receptionist to finance manager of a major third party relocation company. Along the way, some of the positions she held were sr. closer, sr. client accountant and sr. expense analyst. During this time, she went back to school for her real estate sales license and also earned her certified relocation professional designation.
Ms. Mahoney is client focused; she will tailor reporting and invoicing procedures to meet the needs of the client. She is active in the world of country dance.
Michael Dresden
Director of Operations
Mr. Dresden joined DartAppraisal.com in 2009 to oversee the company's customer service and auditing teams. An expert in business management strategies, Michael works to standardize service delivery for clients and to enable the sales team to market a consistent product. Additionally, he manages the supplier network of more than 6,000 nationwide real estate appraisers to ensure high quality services and timely delivery for clients.
As a certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Mr. Dresden remains committed to continuous improvement efforts. At DartAppraisal.com, he helps to formulate corporate culture around the company's four core values: positive thinking, sense of urgency, solution focused and dig deeper. Additionally, Michael is responsible for training and continuous improvement; establishing goals and measuring results; managing cost; and building and maintaining relationships. In his previous position, Mr. Dresden realized an employee retention rate of 90 percent against the company average of 75 percent. There he was selected by peers as Most Representative of Company's Culture for two years running.
Most recently, Mr. Dresden served as regional operations manager for a provider of outsourced IT, maintenance, and repair services. In this role, he successfully aligned company operations and sales departments through combined planning sessions, developing a tool to unify account growth and customer satisfaction strategies across both departments.
Mr. Dresden holds a bachelor of science from Illinois State University, where he served as president of the Pi Sigma Epsilon marketing business fraternity. He is an active member of the Royal Oak First United Methodist Church, where he serves on the education committee. Mr. Dresden also serves on the Wayne County local community committee for the United Way. He resides in Clawson with his wife, two children and dog Wrigley. He is a big sports fan and his favorite teams are the Cubs, Bears, Pistons, and Red Wings. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and tennis, or reading.
